Oh yes another Inspector Morse......:rotfl:
Just wanna know if I was lied to, but feel free to defend Cardew's honour!0 -
There is a limit to how aggressive EdF can be to someone who is a customer. It is quite out of order for EdF to threaten to investigate council tax records or demand proof that the OP was living elsewhere.
Ultimately, provided Helloperson told EdF of the change TO a tenant, all the OP has to do now is tell EdF of the meter reading on the date of the changeover and start from there. The tenancy agreement should be enough to make them go away unless they find evidence for themselves of a fabricated tenancy.
Thanks. I thought this was the case.0 -
Surely they can just check the electoral register to find out where you ve lived for the last two years.Id think that it would be standard practise and easy to do.That should then clear you as you ll show up at a different address for the last two years .Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0

I must say some of these reponses have been really low from Cardew basically throwing accusations about "inventing a tenant" to brysie saying that "they would uncover" something to DGSaver just insulting me.
It's a sad day when you ask for basic advice and are treated like you're on trial. Especially as it seems that the advisor had lied about getting my records.0 -

I certainly wasn't 'throwing' any form of accusation, or even implying any misbehaviour on your part.
Or indeed was I condoning the rude attitude of the EDF call centre operator.
I gave the information you required and mused that it is reasonable for EDF to explore possibilities of sharp practice.0
