My mortgage endowment policy has issued warnings of a short fall for the last few years and I am about twenty percent down on what I have paid into it. I took it to the FSA and I am still twenty percent down:o I was thinking that now would be a good time to cash it and put the money into recovery shares?....Opinions please
Love your son.

Why are you 20% down. Is it just the vagaries of the stock market?
Are you able to redeem your mortgage. If you are, when the endowment matures you get the whole lot, and the money you paid in redemption is now part of your house, so in effect you only pay the lender's penalty fee. In anticipation of your next question: Yes, it can be done. I know this because my wife and I did exactly this.In the field of investment, 99 per cent of everything is garbage. Why? Because we have "gearing". - Robert Beckman0 -
I took it to the FSA
Did it enjoy its day out?
