Can anyone suggest where I can buy a cheap basic pc preferably close to £200 including monitor? It would mainly be used for web browsing and a teenager's homework.

www.eclipsecomputers.com and click "Computers" on top menu.
Prices start at £148.16 inc VAT but this does not include keyboard, mouse, speakers, operating system or monitor, click the "Customise and Buy" button to specify these items.
Selecting the cheapest items the price rises to £319 inc VAT but it only has 512MB RAM so it would struggle to run Vista, Windows XP will run OK.0 -

ok price if you bought the base unit from aria and the monitor and mouse and keyboard from ebuyer would be £204.74, bear in mind the delivery price from aria may go up or down depending on weight of item and where your location0 -
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/138169 are selling the Asus EEE PC for £153.44.
It only has 2GB HDD (Solid State Drive), no DVD reader/player, only has a 7 inch screen and has Unix operating system which they say is XP compatible.0 -
Sigh, yep I'm going to put it again.
Library card and Haynes 'Build your own Computer' you can easily build one for £200 with a monitor look at B grade components on Maplins and Dabs, the OS will be the most expensive thing you'll buy (f~%+ing Microsoft). I built one for the kids for £150 if you can read you can build one its that easy.0
