DLA/IB and returning to work

Hi,
Apologies if this is a long-winded post...
I have been on DLA for past three years, high rate care, low rate mobility. My DLA was due for renewal last week, but I never sent the forms - mainly due to an improvement in my condition (and also the forms were so bloody hard the last time!)
I lost my job in April of this year due to my illness, and claimed IB - although I had been off sick for 12 months prior to this I didn't realise I could claim IB. I never had a medical or anything due to my DLA claim. I also receive(d) the enhanced disability allowance in my IS.
Two weeks ago, I had a job interview and have found an employer that seems really supportive and was successful in getting a job (hurrah!). I am just waiting for CRB forms to be returned for a start date. They are keen for me to start asap.
My questions are this:
1. Do I need to inform DWP about my DLA stopping, so they can remove the extra payments (enhanced disability allowance etc.), or is this done automatically?
2. What should I do about IB now? I would say I am fit for work (my consultant is undecided, but I really want to get out and try things again), so should I switch to JSA while waiting for CRB forms to be returned?
Thanks!

1)Yes, tell the JCP Benefit Centre that pays your IS about your DLA award.
2)Wait and stay on IB until you've got a start date for the job. Then get a final sick note and send it in to JCP.
When you return to work you will be entitled to a Job Grant £250 or £100, benefit protection for the next 104 weeks, and maybe a Return To Work Credit of £40pw for 52 weeks- if your new job is less than £15K pa.0
