ok i ordered from argos.co.uk and my order's gone through! finally!!!
however, the free accessories kit which i also ordered was rejected AFTER i pressed the order button with an "out of stock" warning, which almost made me ring up argos and cancel the whole order (£105 for a pack with no accessories!).
however, the kit looks pretty poor anyway and i dont want my niece disappointed at Xmas, so instead of cancelling i bought one of these soft carry pouches :http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-New-Nintendo-DS-NDS-Aero-case-New-Version-Pink_W0QQitemZ8240795909QQcategoryZ91509QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
and some of these game cases (cost the tiny DS postage stamp-sizes cartridges are fragile and have their connectors exposed):

(you get an extra stylus in the standard DS pack anyway)
As for games, Nintendogs will do for now, then maybe Mario Kart and Kirby: Magic Paintbrush when she gets bored of that.0 -

The kit isn't bad for a few items (Carry case is OK) but whatever you do BIN THE SCREEN PROTECTORS! When I got my launch day DS I got the kit at full price (:() and straight away stuck on the protection for the top screen. I couldn't understand how to use the Squeeze method at all and ended up scratching the screen protector so much I had to remove it seconds after having put it on. It took 2 hours at least to get the protector off, as it used a sticky glue like solution to attach itself to the DS.0 -

WOW thanks for the heads up..really all screen protectors should be those stick-on-by-static-electricty types, like the ones you get get on the screen of a new digital watch or phone. no glue!!
also do you even need a screen protector for the top screen? it's not touch sensative and it's covered most of the time due to the DS's clam-shell design.0 -
