Was it worth £20? £40?
Really, there are ways to make life difficult for ourselves and at the end of the day it just isn't worth it. The trouble with eBay is that people take it FAR TOO SERIOUSLY.
There's no excuse for rudeness, that much is agreed. But the bloke made a mistake. You could have just been human and given him £20 for it.
eBay couldn't give a rat's %rse about any of this.
When I encounter people on eBay who show the slightest incling of being difficult then I just don't bother with them. It's far easier (and alot less hassle) to go out and buy in the high street. The stress levels and the lines of my face have a monetary value.
nice post:eek:
after his first response we offerred him 20 quid as we stated we had been prepared to pay.
then came the second reply:mad:
no it isn't worth 40 quid as you can have bigger items custom made for 50 quid on ebay:love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-09

hi you cant set a forty pound reserve!!!!!
you have to start an item at forty if you want that much and not waste peoples time
also think your being unrealistic bigger **** are going cheaper and you can have larger items made on ebay for 50 quid.
we were prepared to pay 20 quid but the bidding didn't go that high therefore it maybe isn't worth as much as you thought! married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-09

I think I can see where your problems originate from0 -
FWIW Sellers description and photo's were so poor I doubt he would have got more than £20 anyway, especially with a crack in the lid.
I doubt he will have much success after the neg you left him anyway, and I doubt he will have those timberland boots up for much longer because ebay seem a little keen to keep pulling Timberland.0
