childcare vouchers and the student finance childcare grant

I know that you can not use the childcare vouchers and the childcare tax credit money together to pay for childcare and I can not use childcare tax credit money and the student finance childcare grant together, but can you use the childcare vouchers and the student finance childcare grant money to pay for nursery.

I am a full time undergraduate student and my partner works full time. Nursery is 510 a calendar month which I pay the same amount each calendar month. Student finance pay 85% of this.

I get 85% of the childcare ((510 x 12)x0.85 = 5202) for the year paid in 3 lump sums; at the beginning of the student year in September, November and February. About the same at each pay date. this makes interest for me as I put it away before I need to pay it.

My university have also been paying me the remaining 15% of my nursery costs and that usually arrives about February each year.

So for the last 2 years I have had 100% of tmy nursery fees paid. The nursery my child is at does not have any council funded places - just thought I'd better add this.

I do not apply for the childcare tax credit money and couldn't anyway as I am not working at all.

But, my partner works full time. Could I put some of the grant from student finance away and replace it with childcare vouchers from his wages before deductions? Would I then have to tell student finance about this or could I leave it and in a way make money from using childcare as part of my partners wages would not go through deductions.

And in September 2009 I will be doing a masters and not working. I will not able to get any childcare money from student finance (only fund 1 degree) or tax credits (I will be not working at all).

We will in September 2009 be using about 17 hours of nursery a week. This nursery does the 12.5 hours free for 38 weeks a year.

But my partner will still be working full time, so I think, correct my please if I'm wrong that my partner can get the childcare vouchers from his employer in September 2009.

He has not had any childcare vouchers before but is there anything to stop me (well my partner) getting these aswell as the childcare grant from student finance?
