Hi MSE Sue!
Martin - if you need a (free of course) photographer who is o/s and doesnt mind taking pictures of flour sprayed nutters wielding slowcookers and spraying vinegar like its champagne then feel free to let me know!
I think the book will be amazing - a distilled version of this board is just what the doctor ordered, ill get one for the boyf who keeps putting the white vinegar in the cooking cupboard instead of the cleaning cupboard (how many times do you have to tell em!)... He clearly needs the education.
Roll on next xmas!

Absolutely brilliant idea, especially as proceeds to charity. If a deal can be done with the likes of Amazon, would be good for those of us who already try to do the old style way, but might promote to top of list, encouraging more folk to buy, and more money for charity.
As for fame, you can count me out, am quite happy to sit in the background, but perhaps credits for someone like Cathy who obviously worked her wee socks off, and all the other board moderators who do a wonderful job collating and all the other bits and pieces on this part of the forum.
I know it's very early days, and MSE Sue certainly has her work cut out. However am thinking of book cover here.
What about a wee competition Martin for design of book cover? You could donate bottle of champagne or whatever to the winner. Would save a fortune rather than getting a professional to design it (unless they give their services free). Anyway, at least would let some of the artistic folk on the site get their ideas flowing. Just a thought...........0 -

A solution (no pun intended) might be ... make up your bottles of vinegar cleaners ahead of time - I keep my bathroom/kitchen vinegar cleaner in a recycled "brandname" squirter bottles - one in bathroom, one in kitchen and then another I keep in the utility room with a solution for the laundry. Time saving as well as money saving
Welcome MSE Sue :hello:
I'm sure you will have lots of giggles, chuckles, and  moments while you read through everything! All the best

Nice to see you back - you have been missed - I put a solution of vinegar, soda crystals, bicarb and water in an old fabric conditioner bottle.
Not a peep out of DH or DDs - but if they saw me put vinegar in --!!!!"This site is addictive!"

Well done Martin and good luck Sue. At last I'll be able to retire my News Chronicle 'Everything Within' book, published as a giveaway some time in the 1930's - unless I need to check how to make a 'bosom bodice' or the best way to strangle a rabbit for the pot! I won't offer suggestions for the graphics as all I can create is merry hell, allegedly.0

apprentice_tycoon wrote:I'm pretty sure that the book will appeal to the people that don't have regular access to a computer, it's always niggled at me that the poorest families in the community that could really use all the cost cutting knowledge that's in these pages don't get a look in because of computer access, this book will put that right, if they borrow it from the library rather than buy it that's OK, Martin will still get money for the charity - there are lots of libraries out there :j .
The libraries will have to buy a lot of copies anyway for all the OS's anyway! :T :T :T :T
A book would be good for all members of the site, like me, that have trouble searching for what they want to know. The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0
