Brilliant idea! If only I had thought of it first :-) I'm a newbieish to all this OS lark but i'd love to think that I could offer something to the book, especially as it will be raising money for charity.0

Fab idea, I'd just started pasting my favourite ideas and recipes into a document to print out for my Mum, I can just tell her to wait till next Christmas now.
I expect the book will be cheaper than the ink :money: especially if Martin does us another deal with Amazon :T:snow_laug HM Christmas 2010

I'd like to see how it turns out and who it's going to be aimed at - a fantastic idea in principle but I'm sure most OS/MSE'ers would borrow it from the local library.
Would be great to have something that we can recommend to friends as a starting point, hopefully it would lure a few in.
As for individual credit, pah!! who cares who said what - the whole ethos is that it helps and informs and saves us all time, effort and money!
Martin are you going to be on the front with your fly undone like on the last one (it is - I'm sure it's undone - I've been checking very closely) :j

Will you be able to offer it at a discount like you did the money dietLooking to raise some money0 -
Folks - we're just at the beginning. Most of those questions are very early doors, but yes of course I will try and get the publisher to make it cheap for site users. And dont worry i think we can try a page crediting almost everyone - it'll be nice. Now the only question is whether i can persuade the publishers to have all of you on the front cover with meMartin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Hi Pooky, I think that you're right but, surprisingly, there are a few people out there that aren't MSEers (yet)who need to be converted and how better than a book that has the condensed knowledge of all the Old Stylers, I will certainly be buying one each for my 2 sprogs who will be let loose on the world and fending for themselves by next year.
I know that they'd find it easier to look at a book for what ever it is that's needed rather than come on here and ask what they may think is a daft question.
I'm pretty sure that the book will appeal to the people that don't have regular access to a computer, it's always niggled at me that the poorest families in the community that could really use all the cost cutting knowledge that's in these pages don't get a look in because of computer access, this book will put that right, if they borrow it from the library rather than buy it that's OK, Martin will still get money for the charity - there are lots of libraries out there :j .0
