My elderly mum & dad have never swiched suppliers,are there any good deals for people on a low fixed income,like e on have an age concern aproved plan, is it a good deal?????????:eek:

Often these approved plans don't work out the cheapest.
They best thing to do is check out how much energy they use and then use on of the comparison sites listed at the top.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... I would wait a while as the Government announcement of a couple of days ago indicates that there will be plans for low income pensioners.
Along those lines BG do an Essentials tariff and you can get details if you ring them; it will not increase in price until April at least. You can check the prices against other companies' tariffs.
However it doesn't appear to be very attractive according to some who have made enquiries; and better deals may soon be available.0
