Nope petitions are usually a waste of time. If you dont like Ebay/Paypal for whatever reason dont use them. Enough people do that they sit up and take notice

Hang around this forum OP, and better yet, read your T&Cs carefully, and you'll be better informed as to how to protect yourself.

I agree if everyone stops using ebay, then they may start to change how things are.

All merchant accounts and payment gateways work like that.

To be fair to paypal, it tries to get things back to the seller before refunding.

It's still well worth avoinding for all it's other sins though.

The seller doesn't always lose, I've won several as a seller.

I've heard a few examples that looked harsh on a seller, but I can't see what else they could do in a lot of cases and a petition is especially pointless.

At a basic level, if a buyer claims to have not received an item and the seller has no proof of delivery, why should they side with the seller?
