-One of you may claim carers allowance - it's worth £50 per week or so, but you'll only get it if you earn £95 a week or less ( after certain disregards).

If one of you is working part time on a lowish wage, it may be worthwhile cutting down your hours in order to get it.
- You just meet the criteria to apply for a grant from the family fund:

The first grant is usually the biggest, so make sure you ask for everything you need. You can apply every year - the age limit at the moment has just gone up to 17.
-You MAY also be eligible for direct payments from your social services:

-You may be entitled to more help with your council tax/rent - the dla means that there should be a disabled child premium added to your claim.
Have a look at http://www.entitledto.com/ to see if anything else comes up.
