Disneyland Paris - Accom for family of 6

We are going to stop near Disneyland for three nights (two days at Disney) on our way to Keycamp hols in Vendee next may. Best accom I have come up with is:

Pierre et Vacances

Can anyone recommend any others or comment on this. We have four kids under 8 so need a room to house us all.

Also is it better to buy tickets before we go? Is it any cheaper over there or should I go for it her and avoid queues, and who is best to buy from?

Thanks

And- if you book the hotel you book park tickets at the same time. You also get earlier entrance to help avoid ques. I think all disney tickets cost the same regardless where you buy them.

The explorers hotel is another 6 or 10 people room option. Should be avalible on expedia.

But the Pierre et Vacances is a nice place to stay, advantage of the explorers is there is a free shuttle bus to the parks and breakfast is included.

    Hi,
we have 5 kids so in a similar position.
We booked last week to stay at the Explorers Hotel at Disneyland Resort Paris in June 2006. We booked it through www.expedia.co.uk and saved a couple of hundred pounds on booking the exact same hotel throught the disneyland paris site. We were rather chuffed with that.
However I have since seen it even cheaper through http://www.benotel.com/france/eurodisney/explorers/
(I am not going to tell my husband.) The hotel looks really good with plenty of excellent facilities for young children.
We have booked flights through Easyjet.

My husband has been doing the research for ticket prices. I have enclosed the link for the cheapest prices he found http://www.365tickets.com/attractions.cfm/attractId/468
    Saves about £8 per person.
    Good luck

We have tried the P&V - every single date between Jan. feb mar 06 is full that we wanted!

The Explorers have rooms with bunk rooms attached.

How old are the children? We are booking 2 rooms at Santa Fe now - and we can take another adult and child for the same price as the Explorers! So you could always do something similar if the children are not young and trustworthy!

    Hi
The cheapest place to buy Disney tickets is the Disney Store. Ok, the price for 3 day adult hopper passes are the same as 365 but the child passes are £52!

Alternatively look at the prices on the Leger holidays website as they do the My Travel Explorers hotel and include tickets and ferry. You can use your Tesco clubcard points to book this as well!

    Have a great time!

Thanks for all your replies - I am leaning towards the P & V as it seems to be quite a bit cheaper and we plan to spend as much time as we can in the parks so mainly just need somewhere to crash, I think the rooms are bigger there too.

They don't seem to be selling rooms yet for the dates we are there so fingers crossed we get one when they come out.

There is no Disney store near us, do they sell the tickets via an online store? Anyone know if 2 one day tickets have any restrictions versus a 2 day hopper. 2 one day tickets seems to be cheaper and we don't plan on visiting the studios but I don't want to find out access is more restricted e.g. later entrance?
  • Hi

We went to Disneyland this summer - 5 adults, 1 child and 1 infant (she was in a supplied cot). We stayed at Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch. It is a bit out so you need a car to get to the site, but only took about 10 minutes. It is bed and breakfast in lodges and you also have self catering facilities, so saves on expensive eating out! There is also a pool, shop, bar and restaurant on site and the Disney characters made regular appearances and there was entertainment for kids in the evening. There were certainly deals about this year for the stay - we found it was cheapest to book direct with Disney.

Hope you have a good time.
