  • I had a dog called mervyn.

he got a phd in economics.

for all of that, he still managed to rack up a 'slate' with mr patel re dog biccies.

  • I had a dog who used to steal packets of dog biscuits from the local shop when she went there with the kids. What an example to set eh. A x
    Don't believe everything you think.

Blessed are the cracked...for they are the ones who let in the light. A x
  • I doubt this latest slump is causing Kirsty much grief: she's marrying the multi-millionaire father of her two beautiful children and lives in a mansion.

She's incredibly gorgeous too............bet most of you would be too scared to even wink at her!

Then again she is 'posh totty' - totally out of your league!:p

    'incredibly gorgeous'................

    yeh, right.

she'd need to wink at me first. (and even then.....)

I don't wish to be personal to the woman, but she doesn't 'do' it for me.

besides, I'd rather hook up with someone with a sense of integrity.

    !:p
The mortgage on the mansion is with Northern Wreck so it's not all good.
  • Krusty is a fat hound DOG. Wink at her I wouldn't pi55 in her direction.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
  • I can't stand the woman. She has a educated sounding accent but her TV interviews show that she is clueless about the economy and markets - shes rather dim. All she knows is how to make money in a rampant media fuelled property !!!!!! frenzy.

Shes not even that nice to look at. When is she going to do the public hat eating on TV for us all to laugh at?

now now bo: there's no need to be personal.

i would concentrate on the REAL damage that she, along with 'spender,' has done.

Sorry, I can't really see the point of slagging off a couple of TV presenters who fronted what was essentially a very lightweight & voyeuristic TV programme designed primarily for entertainment. If people, living in this information age restricted their research into house buying to watching a few episodes of Lx3, then they were irresponsible.

It is well known that holidays and cars are researched much more thoroughly than house purchases, but that just proves what a turn-off the whole thing is to the average punter - hence programmes like Lx3, Property Ladder, Homes Under the Hammer & Grand Designs. The sort of programme that might pass the MSE test of being 'responsible' will probably never be made because Joe Average wouldn't watch it.

Go over to the Gardening thread & you will see people who know about that saying what a load or carp Gardening TV is....

'Ah, but gardening isn't important. People don't lose their life savings because their garden is pants.' No they don't, but it illustates how 'experts' in any field tend to denigrate TV shows which bring that subject to the wider public.

Anyway, if we follow the nanny-state reasoning on most of this thread, better get rid of Top Gear, because Jeremy doesn't go on that and constantly warn people, 'This thing can bl**dy kill you!' every time he gets into one of those expensive, polluting and downright overpriced sports cars.

Oh dear, are my prejudices showing?

I'm sure Phil & Krusty are rubbing their hands together with glee given the market conditions. As well as a set fee they get a % of every thousand saved of the asking the prce. Great business to be in when house prices are falling, less clients to buy houses but bigger savings to be made.

My cats are called bubble & squeak by the way.
