internal door handles, cheapest place for something nice?

Having found a nice man to paint all my brown internal doors white for me i thought I would change the door handles from horrid cheap plain brass ones to nice chrome or nickel ones.

I have just been to B&Q and could not believe the cost!

I have looked on ebay and can't find anyone selling nickel ones which I actually prefer. Chrome is a bit shiny and brushed looked a bit cheap.

Who sells cheap but nice door handles. I need 14 pairs.

Many thanks

    I recommend these: http://www.wickes.co.uk/Posts-Accessories+Wire/Latch-Handle-Door-Set/invt/163976

We have them throughout our house. They look the bees knees and are excellent quality. Not exactly 'cheap' but for a premium finish, they work out to be good value. (I looked EVERYWHERE to compare at the time)
  • We have just purchased 9 pairs of mitred satin stainless steel handles which also came with hinges and latches etc off ebay from traditionalironmongery

We haven't fitted them yet but they look really good quality

Thanks, this is the sort of thing I am looking at but trying to find it with a cheaper price tag!

I can't believe there are no Nickel ones on ebay.

Trust me I looked long and hard, and had it in my search alerts on Ebay for ages, nothing ever came up. Others round here will probably vouch for me that I leave no stone unturned when I've got it on me about something in particular.... If you do find similar cheaper, I'd LOVE to know!

I have just come back from Wickes, they are very nice, my local store only had one box that looked like it had been there forever, I will see if I can get them to get some in for me if I can't find anything like it discounted. I need 4 boxes and 2 bathrooms ones so over £230!!

    Many thanks
