Hi Martin,
Just thought I should let you know that Abbey's credit card is not fee free any more.
When I rang to apply, I was told it was fee free over the phone or in branch, but not on line, so I applied over the phone. I have just received my terms and conditions and saw that it was charging 2%. I contacted Abbey who told me that I had been misinformed and that it is about three months now since it was fee free. So I am being charged the £50.00. It is now getting late for me to try to find another card to transfer my balance. Can you advise me.
Thanks

annie,
Ulster Bank approved and sent me a card in less than 10 days...
BT in less than 7 days from opening account...
It was 9 mths 0%, it is 6mths now though...
I've applied for TSB Amex sometime ago and they said the backlog is high, so it may still take sometime...
see Amex thread: forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=108081&highlight=amex
It is 0% AFAIK...
Hope it helps!!!!0 -
