OS 'grow your own' hamper. What would you want in yours?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum and please feel free to move if necessary
but you were all so helpful with my OS cookbook.
I'm making a 'grow your own' hamper for my dad and his wife. They've just moved into a house with a large garden and chickens
. She is a keen cook, and my dad used to enjoy having an allotment but got sick of the amount of work for not much return. (ie, potatoes are so cheap to buy anyway, and cauliflower used to bolt etc) So I thought I'd re-kindle this and make them a 'cooks kitchen garden' hamper.
I'd like to include some unusual veggies that are expensive to buy in shops but won't take up too much of their time. So, what would you want to see in yours? I've got a budget of £10 plus a £5 voucher off of Thompson and Morgan seeds.
Pak choi
Rocket
Herb collection (different basils/mint etc)
Lollo Rosso
Spring onions
Aubergines/peppers (not sure if they're garden would be sheltered enough - no greenhouse)
Dwarf french beans.
All packaged up in a welly boot
Things like carrots, celery, onions and potatoes are out because (a) they're cheap to buy and (b) are not that quick to come to harvest. Carrots etc can be prone to carrot fly.
Any ideas most welcome - hope this is in right place!

There's a post in the christmas hamper thread from last year that might inspire you a bit... you could give not just seeds but perhaps an interesting pot plant or two...

How about Butternut Squash and Corn on the Cob ? They are easy to grow, tastes lovely and is expensive to buy in the shops !!
How about Cherry tomatoes ? I know you can buy them cheap in the supermarkets but they have no taste. In my husband's seed books there are many different varieties, this year we grew a type which was orange and Grape size. They were fantastic !!!

I grow a variety of carrots called Parmex, they are small and round and I grow them in a window box, someone told me that carrot fly don't fly much above the ground so they don't affect window boxes. They would make an unusual addition to your hamper.0
