Confused!!!

I have just visited the Nethouseprices website and noticed that the prices for my area go back past the date when my wife and I bought our house but there is no record on there of our house being sold on there! Is there any reason for this or has there been an error when we bought it?

  • I'm presuming noone is certain how to do it so is there a way of getting the question to Martin as i'm sure he will know!

I know this may sound really silly, and forgive me if i seem to be insulting your intelligence, but just make sure that the filters aren't limiting the results? I just checked mine as mine's classed as a terrace and it didn't come up so when I selected all types it was there and they'd actually categorised it as a semi-detached even though it's actually an end terrace.

  • nah doesnt show up on anything! even my next door neighbours is on there which is exactly the same as mine!! well apart from the number :D

I'm just bit worried that there was some kind of mistake and we don't actually own the house for some strange reason

I'm sure it's just a mistake on their part - as poppysarah suggested, try some different websites which tell you the same thing - I know i have used upmystreet.com before, but I think there are plenty of them about

They all buy their data from the land registry, so should all show the same. check directly on the land reg site. Just before you pay your £3 it should tell you when the deeds were last updated, so you can see if the info is current or not.

From experience I can tell you that the land reg supply new data to add to existing databases every month. Every few months they do a complete update ie supply a complete new database rather than just the add-ons. The monthly add-ons often miss houses out, but the complete database is more thorough and usually includes the changes.
