Egg anniversary money to someone else?

Hello one and all.
My egg anniversary month is Dec and i will be doing a SBT.
I am buying a car off a bloke at work and he wants to sell it at the end of this month as that's when his company car turns up
I don't want to take money out of my isa's to pay him so want to pay him with my egg money.
My question is, can i SBT from egg into HIS current account to save the best part of a week it will take to SBT to me then transfer it to him?

How long do SBT's take usually? They state 7 days but i can't remember how long it took last year.
