Morning all :hello:- room for another newbie? (to this thread anyway)

I'm a long time lurker over here but don't post much as someone normally beats me to it with any advice I might have....maybe I should spend more time on here :D

An inforced hour of surfing for me as I wait for the kitchen and hall floors to dry....Why hasn't someone yet invented a kitchen floor that either cleans itself or is like a giant pad of lino and you can just rip the top layer off and have a sparkly new one underneath....I'd buy it (can you tell I hate washing floors)

I happened to be flicking through the tv channels last night and came across "beat the bailiff" - anyone else see it? First time I've ever seen it and I just wanted to slap the 25 year old (who to me acted like a 15 year old) for his constant shrugging of shoulders and giggling about the debt he had.....

    Anyway - I'll shush now -

    FYI - i have done the maths... 25m x 20 = 500m = 0.5km!! Actually doesn't sound that impressive does it, but it's something to build on.....

But anyway, enough about that!!! how are you Luc? hows the bump? Jinks I think I keep seeing you on FB under the people you may know oh and lou too.

Oh Pan, sorry malaysia wasn't viable. I bet you feel tons better for even getting the offer though?

Me and Bean are fine. Bump seems to grow on a daily basis (though maybe that's partly due to the daily Coke and party ring snacks:o ). Can't believe I'm at the end of my 19th week:eek: . My 20th week starts tomorrow and I have the scan for that on Friday. So hoping my Bean is not a flasher like its Dad (do all men drop their towels and shake their tackle at their wives expecting them to roll around laughing if not grab it and give it a quick blow???) as we don't want to know gender until Bean comes out. I've been told its unlikely that we'd know what to look for though...

Good luck with the dog course. rather than pile on guilt perhaps view it as an investment in your future happiness - that's got to be worth a little interest cost right?:p

Erm, no honey, it must just be you!!! Big G would probably be quite offended if i rolled around laughing when his giblets were on show... i don't suppose he'd object to the latter mind you!

I do hope i never meet your hubby, i think i won't be able to look him in the eye now!!!

maz - great news on the swimming.

Over a decade ago, I used to swim before work at the international pool and would manage about 15-20 lengths of the 50m pool. Since I've taken up my fitness card, I'm lucky if I manage 15-20 lengths of the 25m pool. All it means is I have to work at it to increase it to approach my former levels of fitness.

It really is amazing how simple things help with weight loss/maintenance. I found my old WW exercise journal from 12 years ago and the only difference with exercise is then I used to walk to and from work (25 minutes each way) - but we only lived about a mile away.

  • Got an invite this morning to my nephews wedding, on Halloween!!!!!!!!!!
OH wont come, I know it's family and I told him not to bother as he will spoil it anyway DOH, but think you feel a bit odd when when on your own at these things. Usually I wouldn't go on my own cos I'm a bit of a coward. But it will be a trial run for my sons wedding in April cos again I will be going on my own, (OH doesn't get on with them) Hope I manage OK, mother of the groom and all that + ex and OH will be there and wont be surprised if I end up in the corner. (OK will stop feeling sorry for myself now, well in a mint, maybe soon lol)
