I could not believe it. I was equipt with the tesco deals vouchers and the 50% off voucher and we were told, at 7pm, so not even that late that 'sorry we are not allowed to seat you and haven't been seating anyway for over an hour now as we have no pizza bases left.'

Their excuse being that they have had too many offers and vouchers through the door and so have just run out!!

Management - can't you think? Em... If we are going to dish out tesco cludcard deals and make 50% offers widely available we will be busy and stock up on stock before sending the vouchers out.


Anyway after a talk to the manager we have had head office phone number.

Rung them today and they can not believe it either.

Hopefully we should have good money off coupons through soon :rotfl:

Don't know when we will be able to use them though :rotfl:

Yes, that happened to us a short while ago - on a Sunday evening about 7pm! Got £20 in vouchers and a very nice apology.

They wouldnt have let you use clubcard deals and 50% off coupon together as its only one offer at a time.

i know its only one offer at a time, but I'd read on here that they had changed the t and c's of the 50% offer to not include the weekend so I'd thought I'd take both just incase this one was not expected.

i used the 50%off coupon with leisure vouchers from pigsback. went for DS's birthday and got £30 worth for £15

Please tell me your are joking about receiving vouchers? Why the heck should you get them? Apart from making a wasted journey why should you get compensation.

Pizza Hut runs out of pizza way more often than you think. Head Office would have been faking surprise at this, as they know it happens.

This is why.

Eg On a Saturday, your local pizza hut has a sales target of £2000. To take this £2k, they need 6 waiting staff. So they take the £2k, but some of the customers use 50% vouchers. Suddenly the takings are only £1200. When it comes to giving in the figures, to area managers etc. They say "tut tut, you didnt take your money on Saturday". So they cut the forecasted sales for next week to £1200, and as a result cut three waiting staff on the shift. Because they are only forecasted to take £1200, they prepare less pizza bases in the morning.

Et Voila! Happens all the time! Poor service cos not enough staff. Not enough products cos of low sales target, and dont wanna over prepare to reduce wastage.

Pizza Hut do not understand the concept of speculating to accumulate. it just doesnt register with them.

Head Office as to blame though, they give out vouchers right, left and cente to anyone that tries their hand. It needs to stop.

Complaining about them having no pizza bases will do nothing. They wont change their ways.

well when we asked why in pizza hut they said that they had the staff but not the ingredients.

They did say that they were sending us something through as an apology

Thats good they have managed to keep their staff, but most of the problems related to running out of pizzas are due to not speculating to accumulate.

The prepare the amount of pizzas by what they are forecasted to sell. If the sales target is low, they make less pizzas. Except the sales target is artificially low because of the vouchers.

Other than that, it must be absolutely exceptional demand. Managers are reluctant to prepare too much because of wastage.

I think some folks have a heard time beleiving it when a product has ran out in pizza hut, because they apparently make pizzas fresh.

Part of the process is by hand, but to get the dough to the stage where it is prepared by hand, you need to defrost it and then do the rest. So i reckon it probably takes at least a few hours, by which point theyd be closed anyway.

Hope u have a better experience next time, but i still dont agree with them sending you vouchers.

Again though, nothing anyone says, is gonna make pizza hut stop sending them though

Yes it will, it will give you free pizza! Everyone should complain when things like this happen.

i thought the general idea of going for a meal was too eat out???

not go and hope the restaurant/cafe has food available??

of course she should get compensation a voucher she will use back in pizza hut and no doubt more than that is worth,ie drinks etc.

you should expect to eat out when you go there regardless of weather you have discounts or not.

good news I had a £15 gift voucher through.
Valid at any pizza hut at any time. Can be used with any other offers. Like the gift vouchers which you get at Christmas from family but now many places tend to do the gift cards instead.



plan is to go off peak and eat for free!! (50% off voucher too)
