Bootable DVD from iso image

Anyone know how to make a bootable dvd from an ISO image, i am using a registered version of ISOmagic. I can't find any websites that are much use.

  • If you burn an ISO image I would imagine that the boot information is embedded within the ISO (I may be wrong).

heres a link to the instructions on creating a CD/DVD that Autoruns. All I can suggest is burn the ISO image onto the DVD but dont close the DVD then add the text file autorun.inf as per the instructions on this link

  • The info that makes the DVD bootable should be contained within the ISO file, depending on what it it (what is it, OP?)

A simple burning prog. is all that is required to make a DVD from the image. I'd recommenend ImgBurn and choose the option "Write Image file to disc" and that should be it.

You have to make sure you're computer's boot order is set up so that the CD/DVD drive comes first to boot from it, of course.

As said above, would be helpful to know what you are trying to make bootable.

    what Vysey says

    Download your ISO image.
You pop a fresh writeable DVD in the drive.
You load up your DVD writing/burning program, Roxio or Nero or the like.
You choose the menu options to burn from image.
    Select the image (ISO).
    And create your disk.

ISO magic looks like an ISO image manipulation/creation tool and won't help unless you are making your own ISO images.
