They had similar packs in B&Q, but the tiles were bonny bright colours. They might be nicer than black for a nursery. No idea how much they cost though, as I just glanced at them while browsing.

Or you can get some nice vinyl flooring these days. That's easy to clean too.
Here I go again on my own....
  • You'll find your baby spends hardly any time in the nursery. Really only for sleeping. Laminate is OK for crawlers, but you can buy little knee pads if you're worried about hard floors! I'd be wary of spending money now - why not wait til the baby is actually on the floor (say 6 months or so) before investing any money you will probably find you don't need to spend.

I may just do this then, as it may never be in there, just thought it would be an idea for just incase. But ill have a look and see if i can find any large non slip rugs while im out and about!

    Thanks all

Try IKEA. They do some very cheap non-slip rugs, in polypropelyne which is washable/bleachable/scrubbable.

I wouldn't put those foam mats down in the nursery. I've used them before in the living room as a playmat(well the brightly coloured ones from blooming marvellous) and have recently sold them, despite expecting another baby.

They do slip on laminate floors
They are hard to hoover, & seem to attract fluff & dirt
They are slightly rippled, so hard to wipe clean
Once baby can crawl, all they want to do is pull them apart & chew them.

You don't need a rug to cover the whole room, as presumably there is furniture in there. So something like this might be big enough for the middle of the room.

Or this one comes in 3 sizes
