Tax disc expires 30/9/08 - do i buy 6 months or 12?

I read a trick where if you buy 6 months you get better value as you can renew it under the lower prices?

My road tax expires 30/09/2008 , whats my best option? 6 or 12 months?

Many 'Moons' ago I was out for the night with the lads, Came back to find a 'hole' in the windscreen where the TAX should have been!!

It was a 12 Month TAX.

I lost 2 months of the Disc when I reported the theft, But got refunded.


I know only buy 6 months, As I drive an older car and may change the car in 6 months.

Thats CO not CO2, if you tell us what car it is, including engine size, we can find out what the CO2 emissions are.

Easier just to look on the V5 - the blue Registration document of the car - not the MOT.
