Ok, so further to my previous post. I've read up a bit phone, broadband, overiders etc. BT's offering of:
£18.45 a month for the first 3 months £26.49 a month thereafter
BT Total Broadband Option 1

BT phone line with UNLIMITED Evening & Weekend Plan
So I should only be paying what BT charge for the phone/broadband plus the extra costs from the overider which shouldn't be much.
Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't do this - it seems to me if you use Talk Talk, Tiscali etc they put a block on the overiders. Also, in my area, you can't get anything for free so you end up paying high anyway.
Cheers,

Sticking with BT for your line rental is fine but there is no need to use BT for broadband. There are plenty of other ISPs to choose from that will cost the same or less for more.0

Funky, there are cheaper alternatives to the BT £26.49 deal, but it depends on what sort of broadband you require, do you really need a 10GB limit.
You could go for BT line rental @£10.50 (if you are willing to sign up to a rolling 12month contract you get free evening and weekend calls thrown in) then a pretty basic broad band such as Plusnet (good reviews) with a 2Gb limit for £9.99.
Then for your daytime calls go for either 18185 or BT anytime package @£4.95. I see from your other post you make a lot of daytime calls, so you would have to work out which would be cheaper.0
