Is it worth changing to a capped tariff or staying put & losing annual discount?

Am currently with npower & get annual discount of £84 in my end of year bill (sep-dec). Have been on a couple of comparison sites & can get a capped rate until nov 2009 with e-on that is cheaper than staying with npower on their sign online 6 (would save about £14 per month), but if I switch now I wouldn't get the discount in my dec electric statement...
What would other money savers do - stay put & pocket the £84 then compare again & switch mid December (whilst keeping fingers xd for no other increases in the meantime!) OR switch now whilst its an even playing field & before the next lot of price increases?

Guess the annual [STRIKE]lock-in[/STRIKE] rebate is not the act of beneficence many seem to think.0

I know! I swapped to them when they were the best upon price comparison 18 months or so ago, but not sure what to do now as e-on' s price is only so good due to their 8% discount at the end of the year, so would be tied to them also to get the full benefit of swapping!!!0

1.If the comparison sites know what the price of energy will be between now & Nov 2009 they are a lot cleverer than most people give them credit for !
2. Why do the energy suppliers appear to want to save YOU money by selling you energy at a cheaper price than they otherwise would ?
3. As oil prices have fallen considerably over the last few months, what makes you think that energy prices are going to rise ? Other than the scare stores drip fed by .....guess who ?.... so that every one signs up to a (premium rate) fixed/capped deal.0
