Prepare to lose a substantial amount of money.0

On what basis would you be prepared to buy a house for cash now with a view to making a speedy profit in a falling market?
Answer: by offering to buy at a huge discount to the current value.
All the companies are trying to buy on this basis and so they will all offer you a derisory amount.
This is the solution of last resort.0 -

Assuming this isn't a wind-up, I will buy your property. I can exchange contracts and complete very quickly. You will have to pay me a non-refundable fee in advance for dealing with this.
I will need an independent surveyor's valuation. I will choose the surveyor, and you will have to pay his fee in advance. The surveyor's valuation has to be on a forced sale valuation basis, ie what the property will fetch for a quick sale.
I will then buy your property for 25% less than that valuation figure. Let me know if you're interested.
Subject to contract, of course. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I bet you will.
OP would probably end up with a better deal from you though.0 -
Ive come accross these companies before. The local operators tend to offer more than the larger national companies.
I'd make contact with the property advice site, www.theadvisory.co.uk.
I'm sure they could recommend you a specific company in your area.
However, be prepared to have 25% minimum knocked off the value of your property.
Good luck!0 -

You think my offer was overly-generous? I don't know why people think it's a joke? I thought it was a pretty close summary of what these companies do.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
