Hi
Wonder if anyone can advise on a digi camera. Its a present for a non-techie person.
Narrowed choice to:
Nikon S210
Nikon S520
Fuji Finepix Z10FD
Fuji Finepix J10.
Any thoughts gratefully received!

I'd guess that you're very unlikely to find anyone on here who has critically compared those 4 cameras. You're more likely to get someone saying something like "I've got a Nikon D40 and it's great", or similar.
IMO the best bet is either to go to your local library and look at the recent Which? magazine reviews, or to search one or more of the many web-based review sites such as this one:

i've heard that fuji z10's image quality is pretty poor but nice looking camera. Heard good things about nikon s520 though, i'd suggest that one.Total debt as at Jul 2012: Too much!0

Click on the logo of the company and click on the model required.
Can also try

Hope this helps!0 -
I would go for Nikon.
Nikon lenses are great and it is the lens that is important not the megapixels!0 -
Go to Cameralabs.com, they're the best. Plus I'm there. If your question had been about SLR's I'm your man but I'm not up to date with compacts. There are experts at Cameralabs though and they'll be only too willing to help you.

I bought the Fuji Finepix J10 as a birthday present for my sister a few months ago, and she really likes it. She finds it very easy to use, it looks great with its brushed aluminium body, and it's nice and thin so can easily be slipping into a pocket or bag.0

I'd go for the Nikon every time with those options, better optics.0
