Motorbike leathers advice please...
Hi
I have bought myself some good quality motorbike leathers on Ebay this week, having received them today they aren't 'excellent condition worn a handful of times' as described therefore I either have the choice of returning them or having them cleaned up a little.
Does anyone know how I would go about getting them cleaned? Having never owned leathers before I have no idea...are the specialist companies who do it or do you get them dry cleaned and then feed the leather with something?
Any ideas would be much appreciated thanks

Well I had heard very good things about
http://www.scrubbersleathers.co.uk/
but it seems they're out of business ATM! Sorry don't know of anyone else.0 -
try saddle soap (from a horseriding tack shop) thats what I use to clean up my leathers. as for treating them - see if you can get some nikwax.. but even though it says it will waterproof them - its doesnt really last two minutes with waterprotection . so get an oversuit at some time
if you havent used saddle soap before - you just get a damp cloth - rub the cloth into the bar of soap then into the leathers - then use a clean damp cloth to rinse off.. will need to let them dry off though when you have finishedDon't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -
