Has anyone heard of this company? Are they any good? They do two packages one is line rental only and one is £12.50 (incl line rental) for unlimited calls anytime. See below. Their website is https://www.homecall.co.uk. Are there any catches? You're supposed to get the first 3 months calls free.
# Only £9.99 a month compared to £10.50 with BT.
# Everything on one bill, calls, line rental and broadband!
# Switch over with no fuss or bother - we'll do it all for you
# One single point of contact for both your calls and your line
Homecall Anytime is free for the first 3 months! After that it's just £12.50 a month for unlimited local and national calls all day, every day. It's ideal if you use the phone frequently - you can make calls any time of the day without worrying about the cost.

If you do a search for the single word Homecall, you'll get a number of hits.
One of the threads brought up is entitled 'Homecall - aaaaargh!!!'
A quick scan through the threads leads me to the conclusion that one word and a punctution mark may sum them up.
Avoid!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Yes they are up for sale with the rest of the Phones 4 U Group of companies.Customer service is via an expensive 0870 number.0

Once you are signed up to homecall your calls to them are free. I have been with them for eight months and have found them to be fantastic, I pay a flat rate of £30 per month for always on broadband, my line rental and all landline calls. Even when I got a new computer and had to switch my connection they were really fast and helpful.

The reviews of this outfit at https://www.reviewcentre.com/review156637.html  are worth reading before getting involved with them.0

I think you mean calls to UK 01 & 02 numbers (I am sure calls to numbers starting 07, 08, 09 & 00 are not included).sallypurple wrote:Once you are signed up to homecall your calls to them are free. Calls to non georaphical numbers are definitely not included in their inclusive packages. They have one of the highest rates for calling 0870 numbers at peak rate. They charge 8.23p a minute.
Moni72.Their inclusive offer of £12.50p a month is for 24/7, 01/02 calls only,it does not include line rental which is another £9.99p a month.Even if you were to average it out over a year including the first 3 months free.It still comes out at approx £9.38 a month for the first year, and then £12.50p.Their are a number of cheaper suppliers then £9.38p! a month.
Also would you make a large number of calls, using 1899 together with a free 01/02 evening and weekend call supplier would be a better bet normally.0 -

Thanks, but no thanks. From what i have seen and read about them i will personally give them a wide berth.
The 0800 number might of course be helpful to existing customers.
