Thanks for that. Thought you had solved it. It was set to USA. I changed it to UK but it is still the same.
I have also now found where to update the keyboard drivers but it cannot find the appropiate web programme.0 -
do the change again it can be a bit tempremental, or your running an applciation that changes the keyboard layout. Best bet is to remove the US English layout (you have to do it twice for some reason) that way its nothing else to default to."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Thanks, thats one problem sorted,
£££ look it works!
Now though the screen takes up the whole page and the toolbars only appear when you hover over them. they will not drag as they normally do and they are "locked".
Any ideas?0 -
if you mean the task bar at the bottom of the screen? then do this
(this is for XP I would imagine its same for VISTA)
Right click on the grey bar (not on a program or an icon)
Select properties
Uncheck auto hide the taskbar.
That should do you if thats what you mean."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Very helpful thank you.
Forgot to say that before I posted, I had already tried all the normal methods. I have some kind of glitch where the keyboard went funny, the screen size altered and the recycle bin has dissapeared. EVERY method experts on different forums had from a google search did not work and neither did downloading a TWEAK programme.)
Everything sorted now except the Recycle bin. Thanks everyone.
Total solutions you are a complete P*** Oh look my keyboard is working again!:rotfl:0 -

I still stand by my opinion and advice that you had given an incorrectly setup base unit and the answers would be in a comic book. Comments given in jest, maybe, so, sorry to cause offense and I'm not a prat, is that what you meant? I hope not..best wishes to you.0

TweakUI?
Open tweakUI, click on the word Desktop in the left hand pane, and you should be able to tick / untick Recycle bin so that it appears.
If you're using XP, you might need to right click the blue (or grey) taskbar at the bottom first, click properties, click start menu tab, and choose "classic start menu" too.Russia is HERE0
