Any recommendations for MEN'S toiletries/grooming products/skincare, etc?

I'm looking for something to get my Dad for his birthday. Unlike many men (DH, for instance:rolleyes: ), my Dad is actually quite into his smellies and 'grooming' products. For instance, for a previous birthday I got him some Sandalwood shaving soap from Crabtree and Evelyn, which comes in a re-fillable wooden bowl. He absolutely loved it and has had it for years, even going as far as sanding and re-varnishing the wooden bowl once the varnish started to wear off! I have since added to his Sandalwood collection from time to time, with other products from the range.
I'm after some more ideas, and was wondering if anyone had any of their own recommendations for men's toiletries? -whether it be shaving stuff, shampoo, aftershave, shower gel, or even skincare. Perhaps you're a man who has a favourite product or product range, or maybe you have bought something for a partner/ Dad/ son/ brother etc. that they've really liked?
I look forward to hearing your recommendations!

This is one brand that TK Maxx often have at bargain prices.
I love it at its really "gentlemanly" if you know what I mean and they have such a range of smells and products0 -
There's always Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. Admittedly I think it's hilarious that they just put the existing product in a brown bottle, took the little silver flower logo off and called it "C&P FOR MEN", but that doesn't mean it's not any good

I once gave a boyfriend a gift certificate for some treatments at The Refinery in London - a "grooming emporium" for men. I remember that he came away with some of some of their products too, which he really liked. They're available by mail order from their website.
Personally (as a woman) I'm a huge fan of Clarins, who also have a men's range.
At the other end of the price range, the best shaving gel ever that I've come across (for men or women) is the moisture shave range from Kiss My Face - an American brand. People rave about this stuff, and it's not at all expensive. Last thing I heard, though, its UK distributors had stopped importing it... a sad, sad day for shaving.
EDIT: Woo hoo! It seems the Kiss My Face range is now available on Amazon. In particular, I can recommend the Key Lime Moisture Shave.0 -
I second the recommendation for Liz Earles mens products. My fella has very sensitive skin and has been fine with them.0

Both Geo F Trumper and Taylor of Old Bond Street make really nice men's toiletries. Both their shaving creams/soaps are very good. The Body Shop's shaving cream is also really nice.
You could maybe get him a nice new shaving brush or Merkur razor.0 -

I would agree with that. I also like Aubrey Organics Northwoods Shaving Cream : http://www.pureskincare.co.uk/acatalog/Shaving_and_after-shave.html The Aubrey moisturiser is good too. Green People also have some nice stuff and a German company called Logona also have an excellent range for men called Logona Mann: http://www.mybeautystore.de/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=mann"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
