Quidco & Rpoints

Thinking of buying Lloyds TS home insurance. Cashback with quidco is £120 and Rpoints £70. Anybody got any idea why quidco pays more? Is Rpoints more reliable regarding cashback? Thanks

Rpoints are strange about their cashbacks. They consistently pay out much less than quidco, yet they will pricematch quidco or other cashback companies - so base your decision on which site you trust the most.

If you are already a quidco member, then consider the £5 membership fee you already have paid, as rpoints will charge you another £5 if you get them to pricematch against quidco.

Why don't rpoints just pay the same as cashbackkings if they are the same company?
  • Rpoints and Cashback Kings are very different sites which cater for very different user bases :)

They have the same ceo, (Richard Yendal), who has this stated mission:
10 years ago it seemed crazy to me that no-one was being rewarded. So I founded the concept of cashback for everyday purchases on the Internet.
    my commitment to you is:
We will secure the highest level of cashback on your transaction

But not prepared to secure the highest for the users of his rpoints site without making them do the pricematch. Does seem strange.

Same on Cashback Kings, if someone sees a higher cashback elsewhere they wont allow people to post it on the CBK forum so that everyone is aware of HC available elsewhere, they insist on people making a claim. ( People have to wait and hope that the transaction tracks so that they can put in a HCP claim)

Easier to just do the transaction on the higher paying cashback site in the first place.

I did NLottery on CBK the Saturday before last, 1.00 more was being offered on Quidco at the time, hasnt fully tracked in on CBK, Quidco is back down to the lower price now and as of the present time ive been unable to put a HCP claim in on CBK. _pale_
