Dual Core ?

Does pentium dual core mean it runs at twice the speed? i.e. a pc game requiring 2ghz, could run on a dual core 1.73ghz.

It doesnt run at twice the speed. Mealy that a processor shares resources but it depends on the OS and the application whether it takes advantage of that.

TBH as long as you have a reasonable powered computer say 2.4ghz dual core 2 or quad, then the major hurdle tends to be that you need a decent graphics card with 512mb> ram and enough ram on pc 2gb

Savemoneys pretty much right

Its really down to wether or not the game will work with BOTH processors at the same time (Which is down to how its programed but most of the latest games will certainly take advantage of dual and quad core machines)

If it DOES then it should be fine, if not then its going to struggle (But probably will run, albeit slowly)

A decent graphics card is a MUST for gaming though
