If you're looking for a cheap, capacious external USB hard disk for backing up your computer (or just storing stuff), ebuyer's doing a 640GB Western Digital drive for £59.95.
It was also selling a 750GB drive for £65, but popular demand seems to have mysteriously pushed its price up by £10, so I've taken it out of this post.
Be sure to select the 'Super Saver Delivery' option at the checkout for if you want this, else you'll pay more.

I've just visited the eBuyer site - the 750-gig unit is £74.99 not £64.99.0

Agreed the 750GB gone back to £74.99, It was definately £64.99 last night at about 10pm.
I was gonna get it then, but decided to go for a 1TB instead. Now I need to find one for a good price. Any ideas?0 -
If an item gets popular then Ebuyers software bumps up the price so get in quick0

I just bought a WD 1TB network drive from Misco for (if I remember correctly), £119.99.
Incidently, the Buffalow drives usually have WD HDDs in them, so are a good bet. I have 1tb WD and 1tb Buffalow.
The WD network one you can also have some fun with. You can install SSH on it, then get rid of all the software installed and put a proper web/ftp server on it and run it stand-alone.
Very useful, and well worth 120 quid, IMHO.0 -
Aria have an internal Samsung spinpoint 1TB for £76 plus delivery (£6.95)
Same thing at Microdirect for £82 plus delivery (£2.99)
HDD prices are really dropping at the minute!0 -
In my opinion, backed up by experience as an IT professional, buying cheap WD drives is a false economy. The drives are unreliable.0
