Amex cashback - when does 3 months start

Hi

Im just interested to know when the 3 month 5% cashback period starts. Is it from data of application, or is it 3 statements? Christmas is coming soon and (if my application is successful) I want the 5% period to last through christmas.

Thanks

I would imagine its from when they either send the cards or you activate them although I'm not sure. I should probably check though as I've got the same card :)
  • It starts when your statement does. Your account is usually 'available' before you get your card. They tell you what your account number will be and you can normally access the account online.
  • It's usually from when the account is opened. Your best bet is to call them up for clarification.
