    New book
3, maybe 4 Christmas presents (undecided as to what to do with 1 of them)
2 beautiful scrap books at a bargainous £3.99 each! :D (More stuff - nooo!)

    Out:

Money - I shouldn't have gone near the shops! I went to buy 1 Christmas present, then went for a look around to suss out some hard-to-find cake moulds that a colleague told me about (even though I don't really need them and can't afford them). I then found those gorgeous scrap books: how do you resist a bargain that good? I'm sure I've seen similar ones retailing for £25+. But I shouldn't have bought them as they are not a necessity. Argh! Bad Pickle!

Someone make me feel better! :o

Pickle shopping on impulse is what got you on this thread in the first place.....you should be ashamed ! you should feel bad:p:p

  • Out: Moss from the guttering, normally inaccessible, but there's a window of opportunity while the old conservatory has been taken down and before the new one is put up...
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!
  • In: nothing

Out: seven bags of stuff to the charity shop. I've given up on us ever doing a car boot sale so figured as I've not managed to donate any money to my favourite charity recently I can donate in other ways.
    One computer chair on freecycle.
One broken printer in the bin.

Have just put some "gathering dust" fitness equipment on freecycle so hopefully that'll go soon too. I can actually see the bed in the spare room now!

I'm still decluttering prior to my future house move and seems like the house is beginning to breathe again! I'm going to list things here because I need to remind myself of the progress I've made

so far I've got rid of - clothes (too big and too small), shoes, cake decorating stuff, breadmaker, books, cds, cables and computer bits, mincer, kettle, toaster, kitchen trolley, shoe rack, knitting yarn, fabric including a huge pile of denim, airer, more books, seed sprouter and seeds, picture frames, lidded bucket and (from the sheds) 6 garden chairs, garden table, dustbin, plastic storage bin, odd pieces of timber and battening, flower pots and canes.

all gone for local charity sale or to freecyclers. :T

In the sheds I'm left with 2 watering cans and 3 half cans of paint which I shall leave for the incoming tenant :p

This week I'm packing spare linen and what's left of my fabric stash in vacuum storage bags. Also will sort and pack some books but won't seal the boxes yet.

I'm seeing floor in some areas for the first time since I moved here! :D

The one big thing left to sort is christmas decs - I have three crates full  so at least two thirds of them will go to the local nursing home.

    Progress! :j
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

As an electrical item, should that be disposed of other than in ordinary bin?

Sorry I didn't say exactly which bin (we recycle that much we've got loads of different ones) It's not being disposed of in an ordinary bin, it's in our bin for the tip. It's not worth going to the tip for every little thing (nor is it environmentally friendly to do so) so we have a spare wheelie bin that we pile stuff up in until it's worth making a tip trip. It just gets stuff out of the house which is the priority.

I did try freecycling it first but no one wanted it.

Found another couple of bags to go to the charity shop too

    Hi,

We've been clearing out the wendy house and garden today and have filled OH's van 1 1/2 times:eek:. If anyone is ever chucking stuff out and asks OH if he wants it he says yes, even if it's no use. :confused:Then, he puts it in my garden as it's bigger than his:rolleyes:. There were 4 bikes that OH had got off people, all broken. There was so much stuff gone i can't possibly begin to list it all. But the wendy house is about 3 times the size of a normal shed and it was pretty full. I've cleaned it all out and put back only what was vital and now Ds2 can play in there so he's happy.
