i have to admit to being another one who puts stuff in bags and then hides it in the bedroom where no one will see it.

So glad it isn't just me then :rotfl:, Our bedroom is a bit of a warzone and we always have the door shut when we have visitors but I do wonder if it makes our visitors wonder what on earth we are hiding in there, sadly the boring truth is just bags of clothes and papers and a general collection of other clutter. There is even a steam wallpaper stripper and a huge box of photos on the floor.
It's worse when I know the window cleaner has called when I find his card has been pushed through the door and I know he's seen the bedroom and I cringe!

put yourselves and your relationship first. If no other room in the whole house is lovely, make this one nice. You're worth it

    Hi,
I really NEED to join this challenge. Both children have returned home recently, 1 with boyfriend in tow, so very small house + 5 adults = lots of clutter. Have to confess though that most of the clutter is mine as I have a real problem with throwing things away. Well you never know when you might need it:rolleyes:. So the loft is in danger of falling on my head, my wardrobes are full of clothes that I am sure will be back in fashion soon and I have a whole forest of paper stuffed in drawers. I have spoken to OH and we plan to write a list and attack 1 area each week. Jess

Glad to see everyone's doing well.

I'm still slowly getting through my cosmetics, re-evaluating what I buy, what I like and how I use things e.g. if I get a free sample I need to use it straight away or sell it as appropriate rather than just sticking it in a drawer.

Otherwise the only thing in is a cardigan bought with M&S vouchers and I swapped a couple of bits in Boots so 2 things out, 2 things in.

Have some more bits to put on ebay today.

    I'm joining back in!

i finished my teacher training last week, and anything remotely resembling cleaning/tidying/organising/decluttering has been on hold for longer than I care to admit because i was just so busy with school and college. But I have all summer to get the place clean, tidy and organised. We may well be moving in the not too distant future and I'm determined not to take a load of old junk with us.

    Out:

Two boot-loads of garden stuff to the tip

    In
(to) the shed, all the gardening stuff that was left lying around at the end of last week's gardening session
(to) pots - the last few marigolds. Hoooray!!!! For the first time in years, every single plant we've got for summer planting has actually made it our of the greenhouse/trays/small planters into proper display pots and borders!! All I have to do now is resist the urge to buy more when the prices crash in a week or two

    Muuuuust resist....
