Not a great deal done recently. Just trying to keep on top of everything so that when I get a couple of clear days I can empty the rest of the cupboards. I listed my cupboard spinner thingy on the intranet at work last night, hope I'll get £5 for it. If not I'll freecycle or charity shop it.
Bought a new coat rack from ikea and assembled it on Monday. DH put it up on monday night so the old one has been removed and is ready for the tip. The hallway looks so much brighter now that it's in a better position. I had a clear perspex box sitting in my kitchen and I've put that in the hallway for the pending in/out shoes to go in so that they aren't left all over the floor. People are only allowed 1 pair shoes or slippers in it. The rest have to go up to the shoe box upstairs.
Took lots of ebay photos today but need the lead to get the photos onto the computer.
Hopefully get that lot listed soon and some sold & gone!
Did sell a swimming pool last week, don't remember if I mentioned that. Bought for £10, sold for £20!

I need to join in too - been lurking for a while getting motivated reading everybody else's daily posts. We have a sizeable 4 bedroom Victorian terraced house with lovely 9' high ceilings but it is sooo crammed with junk, especially papers and magazines and clothes I keep meaning to sell on eBay. It could be a really nice house but it's difficult to see past the clutter at the moment as we all have too much 'stuff'. Well, the war on our clutter actually began yesterday so here's what happened:

    IN:
Pair school shoes from eBay for DS1, daredn't throw the old ones out yet as he didn't seem too keen, need to let him spend a day or two in the new ones first.

VBot transformer toy - huge toy which DS2 got for his birthday a couple of weeks ago, the original was faulty and this is the replacement, it's still sat in the kitchen in its huge box at the moment, not for long though.

Few groceries from Asda together with Fathers Day cards and a small gift.

Old Till from my cafe, had to buy a new one as the old one was so slow at adding up! This will be going on eBay tonight.

    OUT:
Pair of chef pants that have worn away into the fabric recycling bag.

3 carrier bags of papers thrown out - had a massive blue ikea type bag of papers in our bedroom that originally were sprawled all over the office but quickly thrown into there when we had to have a computer guy in to fix the pc in the office (embarrassed to mention that the computer guy came in November last year!). In these days of clutterdom, that seems to be my method of tidying - throw it into a bag and hide it where the visitors can't see :o, well not any more! There is still a little bit of sorting, filing and shredding through the remnants of this bag to do - will complete that task today and no doubt have more carrier bags of papers to throw :j

Hmmm, looking at this I suppose I have brought in more than went out yesterday . Will try and speed up with the paperwork today.

    - 1 flat pack wardrobe to recycling skip (fell apart!)

box of books from the attic bedroom still sitting there waiting to go somewhere!

    IN:
    - 1 wardobe, 1 chest (both from charity shop & refreshed by OH)

Alas the throw it in bac or box is my current solution. Now have three bags in bedroom and 4 boxes in living room. Need to get shredder working and start clearing these. Parents still have quite a few of my books etc which need to be given away or sold as they are thinking about downsizing.

Today I have sat and listed 22 items on ebay. I've been to the tip and got rid of all my recycling (3 large carrier bags full) and it was bin day today so one black sack gone.
I just have to hope that some of this stuff sells on ebay or I shall be gutted. It's still going though!
I've even managed to run the hoover around this afternoon.

What does everybody do with old gas bills and things like expired car insurance documents? I'm on monthly direct debit payments for all our utilities and I'm not sure why I have kept so many old bills or if they would be any use, I've definitely used everything they are billing me for. Also, car insurance documents that have expired - once you have used them for proof of your no claims discount to the new insurer, is there any reason to keep them (accident and claim free year).

(Can you tell I'm sorting paperwork out? :o)
