The teabag wine is niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccee.... I dont think it is like sake, but it was years ago when I tasted sake, so maybe my memory is wrong.
I like the lemon and ginger one best
I will be trying a few different ones, when I see the teabags on offer again ;)

popped into mrs m today and was surprised to find so many clearance items in the meat dept, it was around 3pm and i figured it would all be picked over but i managed to pick up 5 packages of smoked ham riblets and houghs total weight of just shy of 3kg for a grand total of 3.25!

i love smoked meat and i can't wait to make some to die for pea and ham soup tomorrow yummy!

also happy to note that my peas are well in flower now, can't wait til we're eating those straight from the garden... anyone know how long it takes from flowering to the actual eating normally?

I always loiter around Sainsburys around Christmas eve time.....they had veg from 15p last year, and we've only just used all of it up  so me thinks we need to stock up again!

is it sad that i actually really look forward to my raids on christmas eve and new years eve? (here in scotland january 2nd is a holiday too so we get really good bargains twice as many shops aren't open on the 2nd)

i will probably be away at christmas but that leaves me a few local shops to raid for new years... does anyone know how good morrisons holiday clearance items are? it's the only really big shop we have here, not sure if aldi's does those big clearances or not and our tesco's is tiny...

look at me it's june and i'm preparing for a freezer bonanza 6 months from now :rotfl:

Your elderberry and sloe wine sounds like it might be a winner :T
How much fruit did you use per gallon ??

I have use glycerin in the past, to give a better mouthfeel for reds.
If I remember rightly, I used one tablespoon per gallon. But you could add more, if needed.
I used glycerin in the port I made too... but I might need to add a bit more. I will wait another few months, before testing it though.
Glycerin just seems to meld everything together, iykwim.

The lemon and ginger teabags were twinings... they were on offer in Tesco's ages ago, 60p a box. :D
