    Home Bargains

Well called in today and got a few bits and bobs. A bottle of sesame oil and teriaki marinade, couple of large jars of olive, lg box of butterkiss popcorn, 2 packs of tofu (19p!) and a 10 pack of coffee cup filters for £1.49 (15p per cup!) all came to £5.14. Quite a bargain I think.

There were lots of low priced items but not that many things I would usually buy so took a punt on the oil and marinade plus they were at a knock down price!

Toiletries seemed quite well priced too for high street brands.

Overall not too bad at all.

Can anyone recommend a decent frugal washing up liquid, I usually use Fairy Original largest size from Mr T (you crazy fool!). Is there anything else as good and more frugal. I like long lasting bubbles.

    Evening all.

Well OH was trying to tempt me with a takeaway Indian tonight but we resisted and decided to make one ourselves. So I made the infamous oven baked onion bhajis, chapatis, and as I promised earlier today I made a mango chutney using the tin of mangoes I relieved from my mother's cupboard. Yummy!! I'm dead chuffed, the chutney turned out REALLy well, it's soooooo sticky.

    Photographic evidence of my efforts:

Now I'm having some mincemeat shortbread for afters since the raspberry ripple ice cream I made hasn't frozen yet :D today's been a much better day than yesterday, and OH has promised to give me a leg & foot rub too.

Hope everyone's had a great day xx

I could, but have been Uber restrained lately:D I was wondering if AM was allergic to feather's though;) Wouldn't want him getting all tied up and taking away all the fun of Raspberry ripple, hot indians do have a tendency to burn things.:D

Lovely Indian by the way, i made one with quorn chicken pieces tonight, very nutritious and low fat.:D No Naan bread though, so i am looking up a recipe for them.

  • Fedupandskint, you can buy Fairy liquid in Netto for a fraction of the price of Tesco's.

Now - WOULD I our weezl? Thats a sign of a mind "worse" than mine methinks.....goes off pondering the relative merits of a takeaway Russian (will he still be swilling from his vodka bottle methinks?)...a takeaway French (oooh....shades of Sasha Distel.....well....as long as hes as good-looking as Sasha was at the time......)...
