Baby photographers in Boots question

Hi everyone, just a quick question. You know the baby photographers that come into shops (Olan Mills, PixiPhoto, etc)? When they are in Boots, do you pay for the photos at the till and therefore get Boots points for it?

Was just thinking that if you do get points, that would make the photos a bit cheaper?

Yes you can get points (or at least you used to be able to). Similarly you can pay with points.

last time i used them was 3 years ago but as well as points i also got the stickers for the free teddies & ended up with 2 of them aswell! hope is same now as baby due next week so will prob get some done b4 Xmas. if u gonna have them taken i would go at a quiet time if possible, 1st thing weekdays or u could end up queueing 4 ages & then baby needs feeding just as u get to the front! (then he fell asleep while feeding him so i abandoned it! waste of an hour!)

  • See if you can pick up a 10% coupon valid for the day you pick them up.(On the back of the leaflets advertising the Christmas Shopping evening). Don`t know if they will accept it but worth a try. Put the photos through with your other shopping and keep your fingers crossed!

    Ooh, brilliant! Thanks everyone. :T

Will definitely give it a go then :D (wonder if the Parenting Club extra points on £75 spend would work too...)

So how exactly does it work? (I've done an Olan Mills at Mothercare before, but this one is going to be a Pixi Foto, and I've done some googling and it looks lke they do things a bit differently )

Firstly, when/how do you get your photos? Olan Mills post them to you but I gather with Pixi you pick them up? When? (Sorry for being a bit dumb... :o)

Secondly, when do you pay? When you pick them up? (With Olan Mills, you had to pay straight away)

    Thanks :)
  • Hi Dormouse,

Pixi Photo will take your details, then the photos and give you an appointment to come back when the photos are ready - usually for a few weeks later. When you go back to view the photos you pick the package you want and they give you a slip to take to pay at the till, where you also get your advantage points.
