  • Hello all.

Been at work all day so just catching up on the *gossip* I mean news.

    Congratulations IA.

Hugs to anyone that needs them.

Hope you are all well and having a good day. It's been nice today so I have dried my washing outside and will do some more tomorrow in between making 40+ fairy cakes for DD2 to take to school on Wednesday, as it's her 7th birthday. So off shopping in the morning to get her some jeans.

Just realised I've had a NSD. :j*jumping smiley*

Just really dont need this hassle at the moment.

If you dont see me for a few days I am wallowing in self pity:o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Lou - righteous anger permitted but no wallowing allowed. Get in their faces and tell them to get it sorted. If it lasts more than a couple of days tell them you're not prepared to cover a job for which you're eminently qualified if they can't commit to employing you properly ans stick to the job you've actually got.

I_A - I can totally sympathise with the evenings thing. I used to serve breakfasts and work the function bar in a hotel in Aberdeen. I worked 20 hours a lot of days and still barely covered the bills. It was a good job I had no free time as I couldn't afford to do anything with it...

  • know just how you feel Sar. I am also sick of working all hours and bringing in a pittance.

Just about to do some AQA for an hour or so. Today:

    9-1 - admin- income £30 less tax

    2-5 - teaching preparation - nil

    6-7 - AQA - income - £10 if I am very lucky.

    Not good - £40 for a 9 hour day.

  • Just called WTC as I've had a payment from them (only £6.56 but unexpected) and I've not had any kind of letter saying what I'll be getting. Apparently I might not get the letter for another 2 weeks (to send a letter??!), but I'll be getting WTC of £99 a month from 2 October which is definitely worth having.

I want the letter because I can then apply for courses where I work at the concessionary fee rated and I want to do a one day Spanish course next month. I'll also get 20% off for being staff so the course after the concessionary fee has been applied will only cost me £9.60.

With the £60 back in our paypackets at the end of the month as well - the tax rebate, I might get close to breaking even for the month!

  • Luc-by the time Bean starts to make an arrival, you won't care if a Brass Band stares at your wazoo...trust me.

And remember, gas and air are YOURS not Space Hubbles-that means MARKY, step AWAY from it as well! An angry labouring woman is a VERY VERRRRRY scary thing.

Oh, and Luc-I live 9 miles from Shrewsbury.
