16-25 Railcard Question

I need to buy a railcard before going to uni but don't want it to start for about a month. I need to buy it before I go as my local station at uni is unstaffed and I don't trust our shared mailbox.
If I went to a staffed station near me, can I get them to start the railcard in a months time or would the card start immediately?
Thanks

i've only ever bought it to start immediately..... can you go to a staffed one in a fortnight or so and then only miss out on a couple of weeks?:happyhear0

Is there no staffed station near where you are going? I doubt they'd date it a month in the future, that could be abused too easily and I've noticed that they seem to be clamping down on the use of them lately.0

Can you not buy the railcard online?0

The nearest staffed station to my uni room is a 30 minute bus journey away. I would buy it on-line but we have a mailbox shared between 5 flats and a business so I don't really trust using it.0

Not everyone gets a Natwest student account.0 -
Any option to have it delivered to a different address? I can have things delivered to my department where they get put in the undergraduate mailbox. Very useful for things like books as I don't have to worry about them fitting through the letterbox. Maybe have it delivered to your home address to pick up when you go home or for your family to bring down if they visit?0
