Selling a mobile phone?

I have just sold a mobile phone, to a bidder with high positive feedback, but seems to buy and then sell on the phones,

I would like to know how to protect myself. If i'm paid by paypal i remember reading some conditions that i need to fulfil to be protected - does anybody know what these are?

Also as the phone sold for c. £100, will special delivery cover me for loss or damage?

ok, it looks like i can't be protected as a normal seller - is that right? Ive been paid by paypal from a confirmed address - does that help?

take a note of the imei number of the phone before you send it incase they try to switch phones and say its broken

If it is going to a confirmed address, and given the value, send the item by Special Delivery so you will have proof of receipt to support a Paypal claim should one occur. As above, definately note the IMEI. In fact I always write it on the dispatch note as well so the buyer knows Ive taken a note of it and isnt tempted to try it on.

Good tip about jotting the IMEI on the delivery note, didn't think of that!
