arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggghhhhh
MIL rang today.... OHs cousins wife is popping in to see me tomorrow as its my birthday.
I have avoided family visits here as im so ashamed of the place as we have not finished it yet! The living room and hall carpet is still the one my nan and granded had laid... before i was born - im 23 tomorrow!!And theres paintwork unpainted in the hall and no flooring, tiles or paint in the kitchen!! Place is not tidy either with OHs crap just plonked all over place.... Ohhhhhhhh noooooooo... i need the 60 minute makeover team here now!! Should i mention that, although shes a nice down to earth person, she is married to an MD or something or other of John Lewis?!!?? So imagine her house!!
i should be spending the day doing this final exam for uni... but i feel the need to clean and tidy....
But its such a lovely day i also want to be outside enjoying it with sarah......
ARRRRRRRRRRGGGHHH0 -
Arrange to meet at a coffe house!
I spend my 30 minutes very productively sitting in the sun potting on wallflowers - well it was on my list and I did empty the compost and get the washing in too.
That should help to top up the vit D for the day. I need to go to the scrap store now to look for treasure and loose some - very usefull to somebody else stuff! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Managed to hoover the living room, hallway and stairs, kitchen and downstairs throne room. Swept and mopped the kitchen floor. Unloaded the washing machine and cleaned out the kitchen bin. That's it I think. Place looks much better already.
Nice to know I have been missed. It's only been a few days but that HHC has had me sweating buckets.
I have been flying of sorts through the week so I'm off to find a list to post.
How did everyone else do?0 -
In my HHC I
did a bowl of washing up
sorted clothes off airer
hung washing out
put toys away
s & s kitchen
emptied upstairs bins
gave DD booby!!
Need to have something to eat while little ones are both sleeping then going to tackle our bedroom....mainly needs floordrobe sorting then will be presentable. Am going to change bedding tomorrow cos we are away for weekend and will be nice when we get back on Sunday evening!!0 -
I have cleared pots away
Cleaned kitchen - cupboard doors, windowsill, worksurfaces, tiles - well stardropped them all!
Cleaned wall behind washer - under/adjacent to boiler so there was a mess as it has been fiddled with ALL WEEK
Swept then mopped kitchen floor.
Phew!
Now I need to mop bathroom floor and get my bed made then it's HHP for me!
x about 10 I should think!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Johanne, go enjoy the sunshine with Sarah... the stuff will still be there when you get back, and maybe you can do a bit then - I'm sure if she's nice enough to come round on your birthday, she will accept how upside down you are, considering what you've both just been through... and anyway, it might rain tomorrow...
Right, that's my last HHC for now - I've got to go shopping and pay some money in the bank or no bills will be paid...
This half hour I did:
Hung out my bedding
Cleaned cupboard under the sink (you're right Polka, that is always the worst one...yeuck!)
Ironed what was dry (pillowcases)
put bottom sheet on bed ready to finish making now...
So now my bedroom is completly done - once I've put the quilt cover back on... I might change DS's bed out of the way before I go so it's all done for tomorrow too...
Have fun everyone... and well done to HowGreat... brilliant first day, glad you enjoyed it...:DLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Welcome to Howgreatarethou, its fun here! You'll find a lot of us are in our twenties so we're not all old women(though some are, shant mention any names:p ...) I like to try and be a 'proper' HW to, even though i'm out a lot i still like to try and have a homely home and nice home cooked meals. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
