Dusty - oh the joys of fracture clinic. Still, at least he'll be able to choose a nice colour cast!
Triker - it's scary how much passports are nowadays. I remember when they were only.....ok, i'm getting old! xx0 -
evening all - will attempt a proper post now, though i've not gone through all the posts yet!
work wasn't too bad today, commute straightforward both ways which makes a real difference! spent most of the day in planning meetings with my colleague and had my supervision too (over coffee and a pastry...;))
flying-wise not done any apart from wash up and about to put the rubbish & recycling out. I went to give blood after work (had an appt which i was early for) but they had double booked all the appointments and so after i'd waited 45 mins and still hadn't had the health check (and was looking at antoher hour) i came home as i knew DH would be hungry and was meant to have put the dinner in (he forgot to put the oven on until late anyway!). Since then I've just sorted and eaten dinner, washed up and then watched saturday's casualty (and now I have last night's to watch tomorrow) I only did the lounge etc on sat so it is fine at the moment, rooms i really want to do this week are the kitchen & bedroom.
dusty - glad it wasn't worse!
polka - that's really kind of you. poor woman. that kind of behaviour is exactly what will stop him seeing the kids never mind taking them.
pigpen - hope college was ok.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
it's a rip off Triker, I had to do mine twice in 18 months cos I changed my name when I got married!Blinkin eck, just looked online as I have to renew the childrens passports and it'll be £46 for the youngest and £72.00 for the eldest.:eek:Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

He has broken his other arm twice in the past and once was a double break which needed an op to reset so this is much better if you see what I mean. Trouble is it is his right arm this time. He's gutted, it was only the second match of the football season, last time though he did it first match of the season! He isn't in too much pain, will dose him up again before bed.
Ooooh, ouch!! Dusty I hope he is ok. It's making me cringe just thinking about it as my arm is aching like mad today and the scars are itchy again
Valli - fingers crossed for your water tomorrow
Soappie - glad your drains are sorted :T
SummerMoon - how was DS1's first day?
Sarahshattered - great news about the medals :j
Didn't get home til gone 7 so no flying again todayWill have to get to grips with this working and flying lark
Really tired too as had loads of weird dreams last night (I don't often remember my dreams) and woke up even more often than usual!!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

My HHC was not very productive. I had just done washing out all the bins and getting the bags and shake n vac in when... all hell broke loose next door. Mum was screaming for DS1 to get the younger kids outside and keep them busy and then there was screaming like you wont believe. Stuck my head out the window and she asked me to call 999. Ex had arrived drunk and was causing trouble. I had the kids leave by the side door and got them all up in my lounge to play with DS for a bit whilst DF went over to see what he could do. Apparently the ex had "come to take the kids and wasn't leaving without them. Police have just been but now she's very scared so she's over here now. Fed all the kids (there are 6 of them) a whip up of two minute noodles and tinned meatballs and now the youngest is in the bath with DS,DF and mum (DF and mum are in the bathroom-kids are in the bath). Think I'll let them stay overnight if she likes. She says all the house mates have gone out and she's not expecting them back until early hours.
Had a look at the list and now I dont feel so bad about the kitchen. Ill just do what I can and cross it off tomorrows list. Need to add a few things of my own but will wait till the house quiets down.
Polkadot - you are a lovely neighbour. I'm glad you put that bit in brackets though after the bath scenario as I did wonder why DF was in the bath with your neighbour!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Passports are one of the reasons we bought a caravan, we'd all need them, so was going to cost us about £300 before we even went abroad! (then of course the £400 dog kennel fees) DP was on about taking the caravan to france next year but I said no because of the passport charges and kennel fees.
DPs Dad and step Mam on their way home, after the nightmare that is XL going bust! One day I might be more organised...........

Back.. desperately in need of a cuppa.. and I was SO bored it is unreal....... I have covered everything discussed today during other courses.. I was almost asleep after half an hour this morning.. and concentrating on not wetting my pants tonight as there were about 400 fish tanks all bubbling away making me wee!

polka - that is lovely of you. I hope your neighbour feels safer
duty - your poor DS! My DS2 really feels for him, as he's also keen on sport, was playing in a rugby friendly this evening, and would have been gutted to pick up an injury so soon.
froddington - I can't get the hang of flying and working! Luckily, I only do part time so I just move the flying around...You sound much happier, is it all going well still?
sexymouse - never underestimate the power of a home made cake...;)I can recommend my chocolate fudge cake if you need a fairly substantial job done!
I really have to go to bed, I'm absolutely shattered. DD and DS2 have already gone, without any argument. In fact, DD was asleep on the sofa when I got home! Another tough afternoon with the Year 9. I'm seriously considering leaving if I can't get them to settle down soon. There are loads of schools that are much much easier to work for! It's just that I hate not succeeding. Anyway, off to bed!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
