Recovering Corrupt Data

Can anyone recommend any programs/ways to recover corrupted data?

My computer recently crashed and could no longer get into windows. I used HDD Regenerator on the disk that had failed and (after 3 days) it seemingly recovered some bad data.

I reinstalled windows on a partitioned part of another hard drive. Now when i look on the dodgey hard drive only some folders show up. It still says that it has 35gb taken up by data, but i can only see a small amount...

any ideas about how i can get my hands on this data that isnt showing up?

Yep, from the backups you made.

Also try using recuva (http://www.recuva.com/).

had to do the same this week and tried several free download programmes, many are limited to how much they find

this one worked http://www.recovermyfiles.com/ the deep format clean takes several hours to run and lets you preview what it has recovered.

only downside you have to buy the license and activation key to save and retrieve the files approx £30
