Ok, I sat down the other night and looked through all my papers. Although i told the council right at the beginning about my bonus, i didn't tell them when i received it this year. I didn't deliberately not tell them. It was just that i told them right at the start that i receive a bonus each year and naively didn't think that i needed to give them details of it when it was received this time. Ok i realise that's pretty stupid. So i'm guessing that they are correct with their calculations.
In any case i don't think i can appeal now because it's over a month. Also although I didn't realise the situation, i think technically they haven't made an error if i haven't actually told them.
Any further thoughts are appreciated. Otherwise i don't think i will be appealing this.0
