Need a rare second hand part

Hi everyone

The air conditioning on my 04 micra dci has packed in. Needs a very small but ridiculously expensive pipe to fix it which I can't afford right now. We tried to weld it but unfortunately too much pressure and it just popped again.

I have no experience of using scrap yards but with it not being a very common model I don't think I'm likely to find one easily.

I was wondering if there are any companies out there who will source one for me? Are there any websites who do this? I could always ask the local yards to look out for one but I don't know how likely it is that one will turn up in the near future. Could possibly get one off a diesel clio but not sure if they're the same yet. Obviously it's not urgent but I's like to get it fixed!

i dont know what the pipe looks like,but another idea for you could be to remove the pipe and take it to a place like pirtek or dunlop hiflex and they be able to make a pipe to suit your sample.

Do a Google search for Micra spares, you'll have a selection of Find a Part type companies, appear.

Then just register your needs with a couple & you'll have offers over the fone, pretty quick.

I never thought about getting a pipe made, will prob only try that route if I can't get a real one tho.

There are some people who will weld alloy.

have you looked into lumiweld and the likes?

never tried it myself but its low temp diy alloy welding
